September Skies

Too often I let the days overwhelm me. They are filled with errands, appointments, walking step goals to meet; I never take the time to pause and see the beauty of the earth around me.

This afternoon I took a moment (in truth only five minutes) to drive to the beach, lay down on a favorite bench and snap some photos of the September sky. The clouds were beautiful. After a hot summer of cloudless skies, I look forward to September and the clouds that come with it.

I would have stayed starring at the clouds longer, but the moment was only a stop between errands, I had cold items in the car that needed to get home to the refrigerator.

Something that I plan to work on in September is creating more of these moments and making them last longer. I have also signed up for a new class - Blogging From the Heart offered by Susannah Conway. I took this class a little over three years ago and loved it. I need to find my way back to blogging from my heart, so I am taking the class again with some dear friends.

So here's to September, change is in the air, in more ways than one.

It's so lovely to look up at clouds and dream, isn't it? Clouds speak to us in so many ways. I find them very inspiring as they move and change in shape and in colour. Good for you to stop in your busy day and to take the time to look up and capture the lovely clouds with your camera!
Good luck with the online course you have chosen!

Yes... a pause to stop and look around at my surroundings always works for me.

Crazy that the we are surrounded by beauty on a daily basis, but forget to actually look, with our eyes and hearts, and be amazed by it. You have inspired me to make sure I 'see' some beauty today. :)

My favorite kind of "Pause" moment.......enjoy. Mine will be less frequent as I go back to school on Tuesday. :(

Sometimes just those few minutes can refresh us! Our summer skies have been filled with the most clouds; very unusual! I've enjoyed them and taken many pictures.

I've been enjoying the lovely change of skies here on the west coast too.

Relaxing even to see your cloud photos . . .
A reminder for me to tweak out those special moments for myself . . .

The right five minutes can be as refreshing as a much longer break, especially if that's all you've got. Good for you for taking it. I need to remember that myself!

It can be five minutes, five hours or even five seconds. To capture something we love no matter how simple gives our soul comfort. The course sounds a good place to start to find yourself again, however, you are absolutely fantastic so don't change too much! xx

What a wonderful thing to take a moment, or 5, or whatever to watch the clouds go over. Seems as if I remember so many wonderful times as a child laying out in the yard under my home constructed tent and spent hours watching the clouds. Lovely shots!!

What beautiful skies these are, Sarah.
I am glad you took a moment to notice them, and I'm sure you are too!
