5 Random Friday Finds

Find No. 1

Somebody was very tired Sunday night since he didn't get the memo about the time change and got up at 3:30 a.m. instead of his usual 4:30 a.m.

Find No. 2

Starbucks' winter drinks and winter cups are out. A Starbucks drink makes grocery shopping so much more tolerable.

Find No. 3

This picture is a wee bit deceiving. Scout looks like he is so sad outside in the rain, but in reality I had to coax him in with the promise of a dog treat. He would sit outside in the rain for hours if I let him.

Find No. 4

I found this very large dictionary at my local antique mall for $2. I want to cut it up and use some of the pages and definitions in my art journal.

Find No. 5

The art journal that is part of the homework for Brene Brown's The Gifts of Imperfection e-course is so therapeutic and is something that I will continue long after this class is over.

I'm with Scout on the time change - now if only I could nap at my desk... Your art journal looks interesting, I think I would enjoy that, and what a neat idea to use an old dictionary!

Great idea on the Dictionary pages -- and I wish my dogs were more like Scout -- they are wimps when it comes to rain. :)

That story about your pup and the rain is too funny! You're right, he does look forlorn. Just goes to show, looks can be deceiving.

Love the looks of your art journal, and will definitely check out this course. Love journaling classes.

I would rather cuddle with your sleepy doggie than the rain soaked Scout . . . (Same dog, different pics?). I hope you bring your journal along with you Wednesday . . .

LOVE the journal Sarah!! Arising at 3:30 a.m. - A few Starbucks would be needed to keep me awake all day. Old book pages are great for repurposing in so many ways! Great find.

Love the book you will have so much fun tearing out pages and using them. The clocks changing always used to play havoc with the children. I'm so happy that I am on the course with you it's great to see your pages. Have a lovely weekend and I hope your dogs have acclimatised....

That #3 find is priceless! Funny how some dogs love the rain, and others hate it. I have only ever had one that really hated it, and she would wait and wait till she just had to go before she would go out in it.

LOL! That's exactly what I did when seeing that first shot. And our Golden loves it when the temps are chilly and he can play in the rain too. But as much as they love the outdoors, I think they like "their people" more! Tanner is in my post today.

Scout is too sweet - and even though I got the memo about the time change - I am still crashing like that around 9pm.

Scout is a gorgeous dog -- wet or dry. Enjoy your journal and Brene Brown's class -- sounds intriguing!

Your wet Scout is so sweet! I know the journal is probably not supposed to be a public thing, but in am glad you shared it here.

What different dogs we do have, mine do NOT like rain of any way shape or form. Toby will stay in the house all day just to avoid the rain, I don't know how he "holds it" as long as he does. But I know Labs relish water. I still have Webster's huge volumes of both dictionary & thesaurus. I don't think I could cut them up, but maybe if I found one at a flea market or antique store I could cut that one up. Mine has too much history to alter it.
