5 Random Friday Finds

These are the things I found with my friend Jill on our Adventure Day...

Find No. 1

Hi my name is Sarah and I am a journal addict. I pick up new ones that I love whenever I find them. This is going to be the new Coffee Shop Chronicles one, the other one is almost full.

Find No. 2

Vintage Coats. I love the cream colored one, it is from Bloomingdale's, so adorable. The velvet blue one was a little small but worth putting on. Both are smashing with my red rain boots. I love having Jill along as my personal iPhone photographer :)

Find No. 3

Blushing bride. There was a vintage wedding dress and veil. I just had to try the veil on. I got married in 1986, the era of hats. I like the veil better.

Find No. 4

Vintage Gum Ball Machine with gum balls still in it. Bet those don't taste very good anymore.

Find No. 5

A new restaurant and hipster food. No Random Friday would be complete from me without a food find. Excellent restaurant choice and a Sweet Potato and Quinoa Burger. We both sent text messages with pictures to our daughters to torture them. Jill to her daughter because they love to go there together and me to Mallory because she loves hipster food. I will be back in May with Mallory.

Well Jill did an outstanding job on planning our Adventure Day. I have a tough act to follow. I better start planning now.

The blue velvet coat is my favorite!

That veil and head piece is very similar to the one my mom wore on her wedding day.

Those sandwiches look huge!

All so cute! I also am such a journal fan, so can totally empathize with you on that. Journaling is my passion ( well one of them anyway)

LOVE that journal!! We got married in 1989 - and didn't wear a veil either - I think we always look about 5 when we 'dress up', whatever our age :)
Happy Friday xx

You look gorgeous in both coats; although I prefer for the cream one! It would look very smart for church with a pair of heels. Love your journal. I have the same notebook/ jotter addiction. I spend my life on the computer, but somehow my personal to-do's/ good-ideas-that-must-not-get-lost are all committed to paper. Have a great weekend, Bonny

WHAT??? A quinoa burger? When you COULD have had a "sweet and sassy", to go with those coats, boots, and veils? You'll have to go back. Missed opportunity. Big time.
That journal is super duper cool. Can't tell if you put the image together, or if that's the way it came. Either way. Cool. Happy Friday my friend.

Great finds! I also love journals. My problem is I have several and I write in none of them. I want to write in them, but can't seem to commit. I need to work on that.

Love the coats. You're so cute! I never want my photo taken. Keep up the good work. I love your blog!

What a great adventure day! I love journals, too (and paper, pens -- always have ... can remember as a very little girl being fascinated by paper). Your boots are a definite fashion accessory. The gumball machine made me smile. Now I'm hungry after visiting the hipster food! Happy Friday!

Oh the food sounds delicious. I liked the one on the menu titled, Sweet & Sassy, that would be my choice to try.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I felt so much better yesterday I just had to get out of the house, so I visited two thrift stores and found some finds too.

I still have a gumball machine that my Da had in our barn for some reason and it still has gumballs in it too. If I shake it, I can hear coins. I am sometimes tempted to break it open to retrieve those coins....
