Garden Finds

Lately it has been all about my garden. This is the first year in a long time that I have found enjoyment in my garden.

I am joining Kim Klassen's Friday Finds to share some recent finds for my garden.

I saw this ice cream parlor stool last week when I visited our downtown Antique store. At the time I past it by because I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. I went back yesterday hoping that it was still there, and it was. I am not going to set this out in my garden, but it will be handy for still life shots especially those including flowers from my garden. I liked this stool in particular because it is flat on top, many stools have a dip in the middle so things don't sit flat and level.

I have been working really hard on one particular area in my garden (separate post to follow next week) so I have been busy filling it with new floral finds from my local outdoor garden center.

These are my most recent floral finds:

Aster 'Wood's Pink'

I love poppies.

Lady's Mantle.

Coreopis 'Mercury Rising'

Crimson Scabiosa

 Physostegia "Miss Manners"

This one is for Cathy Hubmann, a fellow mushroom lover.

awesome find girlfriend! I have that aster, never seen a Lady's Mantle, or a Physostigia. I missed most of my pink poppies while we were gone. Can't wait to see your garden!

Fabulous shape, that stool or table.
Going to need a lick of paint though, won't it ? :-)
Stool and toadstool: both so decorative.

Hi Sarah,

What a delightful find as I see the same beauty in it as you do. Your garden looks alluring and inspires me to get my hands in the earth but that will have to wait until next week when the 100 degree heat comes down a bit.

Have a good day,
Karla
