Have you ever met somebody and had that instant connection with them and feel like you have known them forever?
I had that today. I met Lynne for the first time ever today. We met for coffee, which then turned into lunch, two hours later we decided we should probably head for home.
I met Lynne through my blog. One day while we were on vacation in North Dakota this summer, a comment that she posted on this blog showed up in my email inbox.
A fellow Michigander! Hallelujah! Even better a West Michigander!!
We have continued to email back and forth since July. Finally we took the plunge and decided to meet.
Lynne writes a darling blog
Irish Garden House, which got it's name completely on a whim, but fits her perfectly. We still don't know how she found me, since we have not posted on the same link ups. I feel it was God's providence that we find each other, and I am so thankful that we did.
I have always sought out women that are older than me as mentors. Not having the best relationship with my own mom, I have looked to others to fill that void. I have learned so much from each of them. They have all been through struggles and hardships, but are willing to share the things they have learned with me, which in turn has made me a stronger person when times have been tough. I just want to say thank you to Sandy, Abby, Char and now Lynne for being wonderful role models in my life.
Lynne and I will be getting together again, this is too wonderful of a friendship to let get away.
