Find No. 1
I made a commitment this week to getting up early and capturing the morning "golden hour". Monday was spectacular, Tuesday was good, Wednesday was gray, cloudy and windy, Thursday it was raining. But Monday made the whole week worth while!

You just can't go wrong with blues, browns and greens.
Find No. 3
It is good to not plan your menu for the week and buy too many groceries. You just never know when your refrigerate is going to crap out on you. Less is more is my new philosophy.
Find No. 4
I have a lovable new photography assistant. He works cheap, just for dog biscuits. One little problem with him, he has a tendency to eat the photography props.
Find No. 5
Cranberries make wonderful photography props, as long as your assistant doesn't eat them.

You've a gorgeous assisstant! Beautiful artistic shots, the Queen Anne's Lace is lovely, the red of the cranberry which doesn't grow here is lovely.
All the photos I find beautiful.
Greetings, RW & SK
These are beautiful, and I'm impressed that you got up early to capture the light. I love your last photo - it's beautifully composed and edited and has a great homey feel. Your photography assistant is adorable! Enjoy your weekend!

Quite a fun Random Five list. LOVE your last photo - so that's what fresh cranberries look like.
Beautiful images, especially of your loveable assistant! Have a great weekend Sarah! xo
Love your finds and your photography represents them so well.
Great shots! Love your blog, but your assistant might be my favorite! Enjoy your weekend.
Ha! Such a cute pup! My dogs eat everything... I love your shopping philosophy, I'm going to use it the next time someone at our house complains about an empty fridge! Have a great weekend!

You can't be too mad at such a cute assistant, even if he does eat the props.
Beautiful shots, mornings can be so perfect to find that special shot. I'm really drawn to the last one of the cranberries, the colours and simplicity of the shot makes it a very, stunning photo.
sorry to hear you frig stopped working. that is no fun at all. we had problems with our freezer last week when the in-laws were coming to visiting. keeps life busy & a bit stressful at times. hope things work out smooth very soon. ( :
Goodness I love each one of these, beauty in each one. The one about the menu made me smile because I do plan my menu each week, I loved the dogie helper, and goodness the cranberries shot is pure love oh and the fog shot wow.
Beautiful finds, Sarah! I love them all! The last one, on my, you did an excellent job on this. Simply perfect!

Very cool site you have .
I saw you featured over at
"Away for the Weekend "
and popped in,
so glad I did !
The thought of your dog eating cranberries has my mouth watering from the sour! That's a great shot. Have a good weekend!
Lovely photos and lovely pup. There is a visitor next door and they brought their golden with them, but this golden seems to have missed the boat on the golden personality and seems to hate everyone. Weird.
Great photos! Also love the bits about your "assistant" and his penchant for eating your props. Doggies are such amusing and fun-filled companions!
I'm not a morning person but your Monday shot is sure making me want to become one!
Love your assistant!!! :-D
And that cranberry shot!!!!! :-O ..... Wow! Love it!
Have a great weekend!

Fabulous snaps! I just bought some cranberries but already made a relish with them. Maybe I'll try photographing the relish. Your assistant looks sleepy!
Thank God and Dave for a house generator; I live too far from a grocery store to jump in the car and drive across two mountains, especially in a snow storm. Your first 2 photos are absolutely amazing...very well done. visiting via A Rural Journal.
What an enjoyable post. Love your new photography assistant. So adorable.
Awesome foggy morning shot and oh those Cranberries were divine.
Love your pics . . . especially the "golden" and the cranberries!
lmao! This TRULY made me smile this morning. Loved visiting here today. Love those blues, browns and greens. Sorry about your fridge....then comes sticker shock when it comes time to replace it. Love the last cranberry shot...didn't know the furry kind of assistance like cranberries!
P.S. GREAT monday find.
Yes, cranberries do make wonderful props...love your new assistant, looks like he is right and ready on the job. That first shot is great, love the mist.
I love your five random things, a very happy and content dog and wonderful photographs
Such lovely photos - the morning mist is so beautiful. Visiting from 'Away'. Love your blog. xo Karen
I just love all of your shots! I have recently also been making an effort to get up and enjoy that golden hour! Isn't it just amazing! I also love your photography assistant... the only thing is it looks as if you might be working him too hard! Your photography and blog.... both lovely, and think for sure I will be stopping back by to visit! Best to you from Texas
Always keep your props in a safe place. LOL. Definitely always worth the effort to get up and photograph that golden hour! My favorite time with being out and about with my camera
