I found a favorite new set of Lightroom Presets - The Black and White Workflow Collection from Pretty Presets. I love how I can customize my black and white looks.

My husband is always telling me how I should go back to work so we can pay the house off faster and then move to the Leelanau Peninsula, well here it is. I am sure it would be an interesting job with lots of great stories.

I have long been a lover of pencils for writing, particularly sharp pencils. Well I found these pens last week thanks to the supply list for my writing class that starts on Monday. I can never go back to a pencil after using one of these.

I found this lovely handmade pottery piece this week to hold all my writing pens and the random pencil.

I found this lone section of snow fence when I was at the beach this week.
Bonus Find
My new canvas is up over my writing desk. I can't tell you how happy it makes me to look at this every morning at 5 a.m.

Lovely finds Sarah as Mark would tell you I am a pen junkie but hey you can never have enough. The fence is sublime I I think you need to print that one too . The job looks interesting I'm intrigued.
Hi Sarah, came over after Viv was talking about you, were your ears burning, it was all good by the way. I will have to look into the preset, have to admit I have resisted the Pretty Presets, the e-mail keeps coming in my inbox I am so in love with Kim's that I feel spoiled but I do love that b/w of yours. I also love a good pen so will have to check that out also and wrote it down with a not so great pen by the way. The job find was funny and you should go for it sounds like a photography opportunity for sure. The new canvas is just so great, it is always wonderful when you see your work printed. You have hooked me on several finds this week Sarah! First I've already gone over to PP and downloaded those b/w presets. I love pretty tones of b/w, plus the collections is on sale today. Thanks for sharing that. I agree, the circus would be a great photo op so, you could earn a salary, plus sell photos for more money, and get you to Leelanau much quicker. LOVE your new canvas...one's own work is so rewarding to see on the wall. Beautiful!
Oh my! What a great set of finds! I love the B&W images! Yes, join the circus...isn't that a childhood dream of almost all children! I've jotted down the new pen. I have yet to find one that I'm happy with! The best of all your finds this week is, of course, the canvas! Perfect!
I love pens, and have mine the same way as you do.. that snow fence should be framed and on the wall . It is stunning . The mood is wonderful.
I have a 24 by 36 canvas hanging on my wall in my living room . I see your enjoying so many things that I do. Its all the small things . Pens, small pottery, and writing.. but I cant write. Happy Friday my friend.
Such great finds this week Sarah. I'll check on the pen and the presets. I've never bought presets before. Thanks for those tips. My favorite though is the canvas of you and your darter from that wonderful vacation you were on. Nice job getting that printed and up.

Always enjoy the simplicity of B&W photos. Pens are an addiction, glad to hear I'm not the only one. For art journaling I use Sakura Gellyroll pens, too many yummy colors and textures. The new pottery for you pens fits in perfectly with the writing desk and canvas. such a beautiful place to sit and create.
i have a pen and pencil thing as well and I just love your image of the fence in the field.
So many good things here! I love the rowboat. I'm funny about pens and pencils, too. They have to feel just right in my hand. I've got some Pretty Preset presets but not the black and white, heading right over to check that out. And finally, that canvas looks right at home over your desk. I love pens, too, especially ones with easy-flowing ink and very fine tips. I'll be checking out the ones you mentioned. Great finds this week. I love the toning on the first B&W pic and especially the fence photo. I agree with everyone else, that one is frame-worthy.

Great finds, Sarah! I just checked Office Depot for the pens - for my sketchbook. I'll be looking into them for sure. I would like to draw on my art journal-painted/collaged pages, but so many pens don't like the surface. I will try these. Thanks!
