5 Random Friday Finds

Find No. 1

I found beautiful early morning light on our walk downtown this week.

Find No. 2

I found a great place to kick up the Paisleys and enjoy the sunshine and 50 degree temperatures. Go away snow! I could have easily taken a nap here.

Find No. 3

I found a lovely little stream while trudging through the snow around a frozen pond. Always the adventurous one am I.

Find No. 4

Thanks to my friend Viv, I found the perfect online journaling app for all my Apple devices, Day One.

Find No. 5

I found this one beautiful fading bloom in the boutique of yellow roses that my dad bought for my daughter while she was home on Spring Break. I loved the way the petals lay open around the center. I paired this bloom with a pair of vintage gloves I found in an antique shop last week, watch for these in future self-portraiture work. I also added an old vintage envelope I had in my ephemera stash. I don't do this kind of still life often but these pieces called to me to be paired together.

Sun-bathing in the snow: way to go! And a flash of those famous paisley rain boots. How lovely! It still looks like you're in the grip of winter. What an atmospheric photo of the faded rose. You've put a great selection of things in the background. It could be resting on an Edwardian lady's dressing table. All the best for the weekend, Bonny

That was lovely lighting in your 1st shot.
Well with 50 degree temps that snow should be gone soon. Love your boots.
What a pretty little faded rose.

Doesn't 50 degrees feel like 80 degrees this time of year? It feels great! I hope your snow melts soon. But I am glad you found the little stream before it did melt, beautiful. Your still life is wonderful, love the of the fading bloom and all your props.

Love seeing the Paisleys in action! (Or should I say "inaction"?) Great Friday finds - there's nothing better than sunshine and melting snow at the end of a loooong winter. I like your still life and am looking forward to seeing those elements make reappearances in future photos!

Great ensemble and gorgeous perspective on the rose. Wow, she has already had her spring break. Kiddo #2 just started his today (13th) and I'll be joining my daughter in Boston for her's in a couple weeks (by then I am hoping it is more spring and less vortex).

I like those Paisleys all propped up in the sunshine!
Love your winding creek photo.
I worked my way out to the garden house today and I couldn't believe how deep the snow was.
The sunshine and warmer days will bring about the melting big time.
