You are ...What a lovely way to document your year. You are right, we have highs and lows and our creativity shouldn't be set aside just because we think we aren't around anything 'good enough' to photograph. We just need to look closer, because there is always something wonderful to take a picture of. Day 1 is gorgeous and I can understand how it sparked you to start the project. I am horrible at any daily project, maybe I should just start one and let go of the need to get it perfect... Your practice is inspiring.Michelle Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00851453933697842657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6346935990049787898.post-88350294145675054882017-12-09T16:56:59.370-05:002017-12-09T16:56:59.370-05:00This is wonderful - I am so terrible at 365 day th...This is wonderful - I am so terrible at 365 day things - even with my iPhone which should be a no-brainer. Every one of those photos is special in its own way - you even managed to capture a unique image from the window of the hospital. I hope your mom is recovering well. Someday when you're bored and feel like writing an email - I'd love to hear more about this lens. This is the one you brought to Boston - yes? I remember looking at it briefly and snapping an awesome photo with it ;-) - Why is it so different from other lenses?Karen Lakishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14493883087361055962noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6346935990049787898.post-57582051405673705442017-12-09T16:07:42.132-05:002017-12-09T16:07:42.132-05:00I'm loving these photos, I think for me my fav...I'm loving these photos, I think for me my favourites are the leaf and the window. It became such a habit to take a picture (or pictures) every day that I really can't NOT make myself not take a photo daily. I've fallen ff from posting them publicly, but I'm going to re-dedicate myself in 2018 to doing so. I think it's a wonderful "addiction" to fall into, and I love how you're using only the Velvet for your journey.

BTW, how do you like that lens? Is it hard to grasp? Maybe I'll splurge on one for next year. Lensbabys have always intrigued me.Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09049463440095119744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6346935990049787898.post-36268781900366390002017-12-08T02:31:17.586-05:002017-12-08T02:31:17.586-05:00I love all your shots here, Sarah: the leading lin...I love all your shots here, Sarah: the leading lines, the selective focus and of course gorgeous Findley in a perfect and lovable pose! I think that a 365-day journey is a wonderful idea and I've been doing a photo journal since April this year! I've enjoyed capturing something that recalls each day. What I like about your current project is that limitation you've set yourself. You're not just grabbing a shot every day, but pursuing a certain goal, of using and growing with that lens. So far it looks like you're doing a great job. There's a wonderful variety here!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6346935990049787898.post-73488948508946798332017-12-07T10:48:29.814-05:002017-12-07T10:48:29.814-05:00An impressive project, Sarah, esp. with the persev...An impressive project, Sarah, esp. with the perseverance you bring to it. I have struggled some days for inspiration, I have not liked some of my captures, but it is life. My life. I need not please anyone, including myself. Because when I'm not particularly happy with a specific shot, it pushes me to learn from it - what I don't like, what I'm really trying to capture and focus on. If you need a gentle push from time to time - just hit me up girl, you know where to find me!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16479094560768762835noreply@blogger.com
